The Football Sabbath

Tuesday has always been my football Sabbath. The day I rest from football.

Now, I don't watch a lot of football except for the high school ranks (I'm an assistant coach). But I do enjoy tuning in and out while working around the house.

Wednesday, we have high school freshman football. Thursday's belong to JV. Friday is reserved for the Varsity. Saturday is college, and Sunday and Monday feature the pros.

Tuesday has been the football Sabbath. No one plays football on Tuesday.

But tonight, when I got home, Memphis was hosting Marshall. A Tuesday game? Don't they know it is the football Sabbath?

I am a proud alumnus of the University of Michigan, even if it is a cesspool of rotten socialist thinking. It's my alma mater (that means "other mother" in Latin), so don't go makin' fun of Momma... especially if you are from Ohio State.

That reminds me: any favorable comments about Ohio State University or their Buckeye teams left on a post will be printed off on paper, burned, then immediately deleted from the computer system. However, members of the Buckeye Firearms Association (even OSU alumni) get a free pass - you guys do good work for the 2A.

All of my formal education took place in the publik skuul sistim, but in spite of that, I learned how to write and think.

I strongly believe in the self-defense rights re-affirmed by the Founding Fathers' in the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment doesn't grant us any right - it simply codifies a pre-existing God-given right (as do the other nine amendments in our Bill of Rights).
