GOA/NRA Confusion

I was reading the GOA email update about the recent passage of the Vitter amendment. No big deal. I saw they had only 16 senators vote against it, even though many there are many more senators with an "F" ranking. "Good job, GOA," I thought. Of course, when I read the NRA Vitter-amendment-email, the NRA claims all the credit for saving the day. Typical, and irresponsible.

Just for the heck of it, I clicked on the GOA's 109th Senate grades to review them... moved on to the House grades...checked Michigan rankings and found Congressman John Dingell, D-Trenton, with a "D" - again, no big deal, right?

Wrong.

Congressman Dingell is a sweetheart of the NRA and consistently gets high ratings (like A's and A+'s) from the NRA.

Anyone else see a problem? Yeah, sadly we all know this isn't the first time, either.
